I agree that Word Press Blog design and set-up is a fabulous niche to tap into right now. Business blogging is growing at a meteoric pace and businesses need blogger VAs to get them set-up and running in the blogosphere. I think a further niche to tap into is Blog Marketing. The set-up and design process is one thing, but it is also essential to train your clients on the right blogging strategies to maximize their exposure and listings in the Search Engines. It would also be cool to offer a "tool-box" to your clients of web tools that can enhance their blogging efforts like MyBloglog and HitTail.com

I have to agree with this post, too. :-) I started using a Wordpress blog before I became a VA and became proficient at administering them, and now probably 65% of my business revolves around Wordpress maintenance of some kind. I love it. I truly get paid to do something I like!

I agree 100% I am one of those VAs who use WordPress to power their entire online portfolio. I love how easy it is to administer and I love designing WordPress sites for colleagues and clients too!

You are absolutely right about the potential value of a WordPress blog for any VA business. I notice a
number of VAs have wordpress.com blogs and wonder if they have read the terms of service, which are very limiting in terms of use for promoting one's own business. A self-hosted wordpress.org blog is surely a better proposition in terms of risk management.
